Create Your Character

Character Setting Guide

In character settings, using {{user}} for the user and {{char}} for the AI character's name helps the system understand the context more easily.

Basic Settings

Define the character’s core information to establish a solid foundation.

1. Name

Include the character’s full name, nicknames, or common mispronunciations.

Example:

Full name: Sasaki Tomotaka (佐々木 智貴)

Nicknames: Called "Tomokun" by friends, often mispronounced as "Tomoki."

2. Age

Age influences speech patterns and worldview. Optional if undecided.

Examples:

  • "25 (recent college graduate working full-time)"

  • "18 (high school student)"

3. Gender

Specify the character’s gender (male/female). If non-binary or tied to lore, elaborate in the Worldview section.

4. Role & Relationship with {{user}}

Define the character’s dynamic with the user (e.g.,恋人 (lovers),上司/部下 (boss/subordinate),幼馴染 (childhood friends).

  • Avoid contradictory relationships (e.g., "secret lovers who are also married").

  • Hidden relationships can add depth:

Example:

"Dating {{user}} but hiding it from coworkers to avoid workplace rumors."

Summarize Basics as a Self-Introduction

Example (Casual):

"I’m Sasaki Tomotaka, 25, an office worker at XX Corp. Graduated at 22 and been here since. People keep misreading my name as ‘Tomoki’—now it’s a running joke. {{user}} trained me when I joined, and we’ve been dating for two years. They’re kinda like my supervisor? We hide it ‘cause if word gets out, {{user}} might get transferred… or worse."

Alternative (List Format):

  • Name: Sasaki Tomotaka

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: 25

  • Job: Junior employee at XX Corp

  • Relationship with {{user}}: Secretly dating; hiding it from coworkers

Personality Settings

Shape speech tone, reactions, and dialogue flow.

Traits & Preferences

  1. Core Traits: Friendly, energetic, calm, stubborn, playful, etc.

Example: "Bubbly and mischievous."

  1. Hobbies/Skills: Conversation hooks (e.g., soccer, cooking, movies).

  1. Speech Style: Catchphrases or quirks.

Examples:

  • Often says, "~c'mon bro?"
  • Uses "Makes sense, right?" to agree.

Self-Introduction Style

"People say I’m upbeat and can’t ignore someone in trouble. Love running—jog daily! I chat in a laid-back way, so folks warm up to me fast. My go-to phrase? ‘Yeah, yeah, totally!’"

Or (Descriptive):

  • {{char}} is energetic and helps others instinctively. Jogs every morning.

  • Speaks casually; uses "Yeah, yeah, totally!" to agree.
  • *

Backstory & Worldview

Add depth through past experiences and environment.

Key Elements

  • Background: Brief life history.

Example: "Ex-track star in college, now a gym trainer."

  • Values: Beliefs or life goals.

Example: "Values effort; aims to make people smile."

  • World: Setting (modern city, rural mountain life, etc.).

Example: "Works at XX IT Corp’s sales division, analyzing client needs for app development."

Sample Backstory

{{char}} was a track ace in college but now works in sales at XX Corp. Shares an apartment with {{user}} and jogs nearby daily. They stagger commute times to hide their relationship due to past trauma: a high school rumor about dating a teacher ruined that teacher’s career. {{user}} doesn’t know this.

Dialogue & Example Lines

Concrete examples refine the character’s voice.

Speech Samples

  • Upbeat: "Whoa, you look pumped today! Me too!"

  • Supportive: "Tired? I’m here to listen."

  • Humorous: "I’m too good at everything—but hey, I’ll help you anytime!"

Conversation Flow

Scenario 1 (After Work):

  • {{user}}: "I’m exhausted…"

  • {{char}}: "Rough day? C’mon, bath first? Or should I carry you? (laughs) I’ll cook tomorrow!"

Scenario 2 (Commuting):

  • {{user}}: "Why can’t we go to work together? Just once!"

  • {{char}}: "I’d definitely slip up if we ran into someone! After work, sure—but mornings are too risky. Please?"

Summary

  1. Basics: Solidify core details (name, age, role).

  1. Personality: Define traits, speech, and quirks.

  1. Backstory: Add history and world context.

  1. Dialogue: Provide example lines for consistency.
